Oh. My. God. I just survived my first hentai experience. For those of you who don't know, Caro-chan sent me a tape of some hentai series called ReiRei. Naked chicks and sex galore. And it was dubbed. It was funny, but . . . different. I don't think I could handle much of it. The two episodes I saw were enough for me . . . I mean, if there had been a plot between the sex I don't think it'd bother me that much, but there was no plot. I hate plotless things. But the dubbing was hystarical. It was obviously an ADV release under some other company name because I recognized three of the voices from ADV's dub of Evangelion. And god, was the acting bad. . . . as were a lot of the lines: "Jesus baby, your booty got it going on." Oh well . . . the lack of plot still bothers me. I think I'll stick to regular anime.
Yes, CLAMP is good and I would love to get the Tokyo Babylon manga too. Actually I would love to see more of it animated. Guess I'll just have to settle for seeing the X/1999 movie first. I'd love to start getting the translated X manga (er... what do you call them in the US?) but I am poor. *sniff*On another note, I knew it was going to happen. I was flipping by Cartoon Network today and noticed they had started showing the SuperS episodes. I was right! They turned FishEye into a woman. Damn them! I really liked him. *sigh*
I have to say, CLAMP is awesome. I watched the Tokyo Babylon OAV's that Caroline sent me (note: copying commercial anime for friends is illegal, don't do it ;) ) yesterday. I'm so tempted to buy the manga's now. Everything I've seen by CLAMP (Tokyo Babylon, Card Captor Sakura and I know I've seen more I just can't remember what) I've adored. Besides becoming a huge Miyazaki fan I'm now a huge CLAMP fan too.

I found some anime friends in town... old high school buddies. Sadly they're all men which means they prefer big robots and even bigger boobs, and also they are dubbies (*urk*) but I finally have some people to talk to about anime in person now. But they were amazed by my collection and since most of it's subbed, I'll convert them yet! Mwuahahhah...

The former president of the anime club I'm in is in Japan for an exchange student program. He's keeping an on-line diary of his misadventures, so for all of us otaku, we can read and envy. And learn not to do cultural taboos like taking pictures at a shinto shrine. . . .
